Love You Much Promotion

This is one (of many) reasons why I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator: I get to play with great stamp sets and receive a discount on them. Well Stampin' Up! wanted to share some of this energy with you, it's loyal customer, and came up with this "Love You Much Promotion."

This is a sneak peak into the new Catalog arriving on January 19th. The Promotion is actually a bundle of products: Stamp Set, Punch, and packet of Designer Series Paper. Not only do you have the opportunity to order this sneak peak now you also will receive 20% off the purchase price. Click here to get more detailed information or Click here to email me.

I do have to thank my friend Jill Coleman. She placed an idea in my head a while ago of using sketches when making cards. I really didn't think much of it at the time but began saving some sketches anyways. Well I tried it out last night and I have to say "WOW" what a time saver!! I made three different cards in less then an hour and I was satisfied with how they all turned out! That never happens. Thanks Jill for your idea ;)

Here is the sketch that I used for this card.

Note Card Holder Tutorial

I will be showing two different colors of Designer Series Paper. I hope this will not be to confusing.
You will be using one sheet of 12x12 Desiger Series Paper, Sticky Strip Adhesvie, and Stampin' Up!s Note Cards. These are the cards that go inside the holder.

Cut your paper in half: 6x12. Then Score that paper at 4 1/2" and again at 9". You are almost done. Take the remaining 6x12 and cut it to a 6x6. Now cut two strips of 2 1/2 x6, and one strip 1x6. You have now used up that 6x6 square of paper. The 1x6 is if you want to place postage with your gift. It is placed at the very top fold: As you can see by this picture to the left.

Here is what they look with 4 Note Cards and 4 envelopes placed inside.

In this picture I did not place the postage strip.

I love making this Holder because it is simple and uses minimal supplies. I found this pattern off of Pattystamps blog. She does such a wonderful job. I receive so much inspiration from her. I will post a few more examples in the next few days.
Merry Christmas

Free Tutorial Gift Card

It's all about the packaging right? Well here is a fun way to package a gift card or money.

Here is what you will need:

Punches: Word Window punch and 3/4" punch

Paper: I used Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.

Ribbon: Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain

Stamp Set: Snow Swirl

Ink: Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss

Adhesive: Sticky Strip and SNAIL

Take your Riding Hood Red

paper and cut it in half 4 1/4" x 11

Score at 3 and 8. Flip the paper over and Score at 51/2

This is how you want to fold it. You can kinda make out in the picture that I placed some sticky strip tape on either side of the paper. I use sticky strip because it has a stronger bond for this project. You do not want it to fall a part when folks are reaching in to take their goodies out.

Now when you adhere the two sides together it will form this "T"

Here is where you will use the word window punch. It gives your project a nice professional look. At the top of the "T" slide the folded piece of paper in to the punch just like the picture shows. The punch is Strong enough to go through the fold.

This is what it will look like when you are done.

Now take the 3/4" punch and slide the punch into the open area and punch half of a circle. TIP this punch is not Strong enough to go through both pieces of paper. That is why I went in through the middle first.

Flip the paper over and you can see the half circle that was just punched. Line that up with the punch and punch out the remaining paper.

This is what it will look like.

TIP now is the time to make sure that the opening you punched will fit your gift card. Gift cards are a standard size so you can use a credit card to judge if it works or not. If not just line up your word window punch and punch just a little off the end.

Cash-o-la also works!

There you go, another way to make a gift card holder. Please let me know if you have any questions or email me a picture of your creation and I will post it here on my blog.

Here is the Stamp Set I used, Snow Swirled item number 111690 $24.95. You can purchase this and all the other supplies at my on line store right here:

On Board Trinkets Ornaments

I had so much fun putting these ornaments together. They come in a kit form so there is no thinking on your part. You just push out the paper and glue it to the chip board for a beautiful decoration.

Do you have children living with you or Grandchildren who will be visiting this holiday season. Put this kit to wonderful use and create them together. You are creating more then an ornament you are creating a life time of wonderful memories.

The ornaments in this kit are easy to make and exclusive—you won’t find them in any store. The chipboard and paper are die cut, so you don’t need to worry about measuring and cutting—the pieces fit perfectly together. They’re easy to embellish by adding glitter or Rub-Ons or embossing them with your favorite stamped images. And they also look great as embellishments on holiday cards, tags, and scrapbook pages.
This is what comes in the Kit

■ Combination of On Board chipboard pieces and die-cut Designer Series paper

■ 6 sheets of 9" x 9" die-cut chipboard (2 sheets of 3 designs containing an assortment of words, stars, and classic ornament shapes)

■ 12" x 12" die-cut double-sided Designer Series paper sized to fit chipboard pieces (3 sheets each of 2 designs)

■ Coordinates with Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive colors: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red

Do you remember a while back I showed you how to make these darling pumpkins? I am using them here as place holders for our Thanksgiving table. The names are written on the top of the leaves. Click here for directions on how to make the pumpkins.

Just a side note. My mom made these napkin "Turkey" holders for me. I just love them. Even though my parents live in another state and can not be with us this year they are with me in spirit all day long. I love that ;)
